Any runner that participates with a bib that is not assigned to them in our system will be removed from the event site as they will be committing a serious breach of our Terms & Conditions.

START TIME

The estimated starting time of the first wave is 09:00.

You will be allocated a pen letter soon, which will correspond to a starting wave time. These will be confirmed and published here.

Please ensure you arrive at the Event Village (E9 5PF) at least 60 minutes before your estimated start time.

It will be very busy on Sunday 19th May, so we recommend arriving at Hackney Wick Station and then walking your way to the event village from there.

My starting wave allocation

Your race number shows the letter of the start pen that you have been assigned based on your predicted finishing time. The wave times will be announced soon.

If you want to start with a someone who has been allocated a different pen letter, you may move backwards to an alternative pen, but not forwards in an earlier starting wave.

For example:

Runner 1 is allocated in Pen C, but their friend, Runner 2, is allocated in Pen G.

Runner 1 can join their friend in Pen G, while Runner 2 cannot move forward to start in Pen C.

Participant tracking

Your cheer squad will be able to see where you are throughout the course via our tracking link which you can find via clicking the button below!

⚠️ TRACKING IS LIVE ONLY ONCE YOU CROSS THE START LINE, DON’T WORRY IF YOU CAN’T SEE YOUR NUMBER/NAME JUST YET! ⚠️

RACE READY

We suggest arriving on site race ready, but there will be baggage drop available in the event village, as well as changing facilities. Bag drop opens at 07:00 and is located next to the helpdesk.

Baggage drop will close at 16:00 so make sure you pick up your items by then or they will be taken away with the lost property.

Questions?

Our inbox will be very busy in the lead up to the event, so please be patient if you reach out with any queries.

Have you checked if your query can be answered by looking it up in the Race Day Guide or the FAQs page? The Race Day Guide will be published soon so keep an eye out on the website!

pacers

The dream team of pacers are back again and as well as helping you hit your target times they’ll also be supporting you to get to that finish line. Look out for the pacers joining you in the start pens wearing their bright blue HOKA pacer flags with their respective pace times.

Expect to see at least two pacers for each time from 1h 30 to run/walk pace. The pacer team are made up of regular and new pacers, and are keen to support and encourage you to your Wizz Air Hackney Half goal whether that’s a PB or to complete in style.

RACE PACK

You will either have received your race number in the post or if you’ve chosen to collect from our Festival Village in advance, then you’ll need to pick up your race number from the help desk on Hackney Marshes on Friday 17th May (16:00 – 19:00), or Saturday 18th May (09:00 – 17:00).

You must bring a physical PHOTO ID with you, as well as your QR code, to be able to pick up your event pack.

We recommend coming on Friday afternoon or Saturday morning when it is likely to be quieter!

Can a friend pickup for me?

If you cannot collect your own race number, you can ask a friend/family member, so long as the person picking up the pack can show your PHOTO ID (must be a physical copy), as well as your pack collection QR code.

Please note there will be strict procedures in place: the person picking up the pack will also be asked to sign a declaration confirming that they have permission to collect this race number on behalf of the runner, and are not intending to run in the race number themselves.

Any runner that participates with a race number that is not assigned to them in our system, is committing a serious breach of our Terms & Conditions. This poses a significant health & safety risk to not only the person running in the incorrect race number, but to all of our runners on the day.
