  • Once you’ve registered, you’ll receive a confirmation email with details of your volunteer role and shift timings.

Ahead of the event, the volunteer team will send you a Volunteer Manual along with a briefing document specific to your role to help you get ready.

We’ll also be hosting an online briefing for all volunteers on Wednesday, 13 May. This will be a great opportunity to learn more about the event and ask any questions you might have.

If you have any urgent questions in the meantime, feel free to reach out to the volunteer team at volunteers@motivsports.co.uk — we’re happy to help!

  • For most of our volunteer roles, there is no need for any specific skills or experience. If there is a requirement it will be highlighted in the particular role - the list can be found here.

  • We want all volunteers to feel confident and fully prepared for their roles. To help with this, the Event Manual and role-specific briefing documents will be shared with volunteers ahead of the event. In addition, an online volunteer briefing will take place a few days before the event to answer any questions and provide further guidance.

When you arrive at the event, you will be welcomed by a Team Leader or Supervisor, who will give you a short briefing outlining your role and what will be required during your shift.

Supervisors will also organise volunteer breaks and support general volunteer welfare throughout the event. If you experience any issues or have concerns at any time, please raise them with your Supervisor or a member of the Volunteer Team as soon as possible.

  • Sadly we do not have any parking available for staff or volunteers. we strongly advise you use public transport to get to the event

  • You will need to plan your travel and make sure that you are able to arrive in time for the role you have signed up for.

Most volunteer shifts start at around 7 am but you must bear in mind that some road closures will be in place and this may affect your travel plans.

We strongly advise you to use public transport - there is no parking for staff or volunteers onsite and there are many road closures in place. Not to mention thousands of runners on the move!

Your best plan is to check the TFL website here and plan accordingly. If you think you are going to be unable to arrive on time - please let the volunteer team know on volunteers@motivsports.co.uk so they are aware.

  • Volunteer Group Opportunities

Calling all running clubs, community groups and youth organisations!

Looking for a fun way to support an exciting event while raising funds for your group? We have fantastic volunteer opportunities designed especially for groups.

Youth groups and community organisations can receive a £40 donation per volunteer as a thank you for supporting the event.

Your group could take on one of our Aid Stations, helping hand out water, encourage runners, and create an amazing atmosphere along the course. It’s a brilliant way to get involved and make a real difference to participants on the day.

Or why not run the Baggage Marquee and enjoy being right in the heart of the event village and festival atmosphere throughout the day, helping runners safely store and collect their belongings.

These roles are perfect for groups who want to work together, have fun, and raise money for their organisation.

If your group would like to get involved, we’d love to hear from you! volunteers@motivsports.co.uk
