2025 festival overview
With planning for the 2026 festival well underway, let’s reflect on what made 2025’s festival so special.
Below is an overview of the Hackney Moves Festival from 2025 - giving you a taste of the energy, community, and free activities you can expect when we return. While details for 2026 are still being finalised, this should give you a great idea of what the weekend could look like.
sport & movement
The Main Stage hosted fitness sessions and entertainment from East London’s finest group exercise gurus, bands and DJ’s. From Fight Klub to Zumba and Beatboxers to UK Garage Queen, Kele Le Roc.
The House of Fitness hosted pilates to Soca Step Aerobics and Carnival Vibes Dance to post race flex and stretch.
children & families
The family fun zone was located in the south of the village and included fun sports and activities for all. The Hackney Playbus offered activities for families with children under 5, Hula Hooping with HulaFit and face painting by NYGlorious Face Arts. 
Also, within this zone Badu ran a multi-sport activation consisting of come and try sessions and Hackney Jedis Basketball ran fun passing and shooting games. East London Hockey were onsite to teach new skills and inspire the next generation of London Hockey players. Better ran classes on trampettes and participants could compete in a fun ski erg challenge. 
fuel & refresh
The Festival Village had a whole host of local food and drink traders to enjoy. Vendors served everything from pizza and mouth-watering burgers to green juices and vegan delights. There was something for every taste including all your gluten/dairy/lactose/vegan preferences. There was also be a full bar with your favourite tipples.
TRADERS
Open all weekend, the Market on the Marshes was a wonderful place to shop for treats and post-race gifts. Traders showcasing their artisanal foods, drinks and fitness merchandise. There’s something for everyone!
